What happens if I’m in a car accident and the other driver does not have insurance?

Video Transcription

After a car accident, if the other driver who was negligent and caused the accident has no insurance, you can still recover. If you are a driver of a vehicle, you can recover under your own uninsured motorist coverage with your insurance carrier. If you are a pedestrian, you can recover through the motor vehicle accident Indemnification Corporation, which is an agency of the state that steps into the shoes of the offending vehicle and provides insurance coverage.
