How will I pay my medical bills before I get my settlement?

Back to New York Personal Injury Questions

Video Transcription

Generally medical bills are paid by your private medical insurance. If the accident that you were in involves a motor vehicle, then no fault insurance takes the place of your private medical. No fault will pay your medical bills and your time lost from work. Also note that if you are injured on the job, workers’ compensation will pay your medical bills in lieu of your private medical insurance. Workers’ compensation will also pay your time out of work.
