After an auto accident should I speak to the other driver’s insurance company?

Video Transcription

After a car accident, if the other driver’s insurance calls you, yes, you should speak to them, but be weary. What you should do is get the information from them that you need, such as a claim number, the adjuster’s name. Do not give them a statement over the phone. They will ask if they can record a statement and you can politely refuse and let them know that you’ll be contacting a lawyer.
