The legal news, information and blog website Law Commentary recently interviewed attorney Leandros A. Vrionedes in an article discussing “Carlos’ Law,” a new law signed by Governor Hochul in December. This law increases the penalties and criminal liability of corporations for negligent attention to worker safety that cause construction accident injuries and deaths. Attorney Vrionedes commented on how this new law intersects with the Scaffold Law and whether it is likely to change corporate conduct and lead to fewer construction accidents.
